I don’t care if you’re razing Kenosha, storming the Capitol, or doing whatever this is in LA, no democracy can function when every group and identity block decides it has the right and moral authority to take its specific political disagreements into the streets.

Illegal immigrants can't and didn't vote though. And while a single statement wouldn't have worked, the 2 years of democrats running hard right on immigration legitimized the republican view of it as the only one - is it any surprise that became widespread even amongst immigrants?
The problem with this statement is that it sounds good, but every interview with legal and illegal immigrants who voted for Trump is them saying “I wanted a crackdown, I just didn’t think they’d come for me”. They would never have believed the Democrats.

Illegal immigrants can't and didn't vote though. And while a single statement wouldn't have worked, the 2 years of democrats running hard right on immigration legitimized the republican view of it as the only one - is it any surprise that became widespread even amongst immigrants?
