An old friend‘s wife (not close to) posted today about the high rate of flu in her community & where her 2 oldest attend college. I commented, “mask up!” which earned me 2 laughing emojis & a “whatever you do, don’t mask up”

Sometimes when I walk into a book store or a library I get overwhelmed by all the stories I’ll never read & all the information I’ll never know & I have a tiny anxiety attack of sadness & drowning (does a German have a word for that?) Anyone else get that way?

In non teacher/political news, I just had 2 months of med issues culminate in me sucking down two “units” of yummy red blood 🩸 this evening at my local ER.
Apparently when your hemoglobin is less than half what is deemed “critically low” you get emergency transfusions. Who knew? But also,
