I dunno if you know about this, but when it's late and I feel creeping dread, I remember this video and I imagine it's the mute-brain freaking out. So the language-brain says "There there, nothing to be afraid of" and gives the mute-brain a hug and everything settles down.

I can do a lot with just Pam's, I can switch between two CV levels which will let me switch between the Guitar and Bass models on Surface. But for stuff like the strike, tone, and decay, I need more than two settings. I have a 4-step Ladik but I think it's too deep for this case.

Modular requires a lot of patience. The signals don't know where they're going, so you need to spend a lot of time dialing in small, subtle changes. The more I patch, the more the modules talk to each other, the better things tend to sound.
