That's fair! It still bummed me out when I first heard it, but you're right, it comes from a place of tons of experience. But I can also understand Rob's argument about tipping the scales of moral discourse

Didn't think you were a doomer at all! I only feel strongly because it was those dumb video game podcasts that pushed me towards progressive politics when I was a teen, so I like to think AMCA could do the same for others. Though I can understand the material distinction between that and a boycott.

Dang, Austin's thoughts on media criticism made me a little bummed, after watching him fight for this stuff since he joined Giant Bomb in 2015. It's hard to argue with someone who's been in the mud for so long, even if part of me still feels its too cynical.

Anyway, I support it and am looking forward to KOTOR 2 eps, and I also realize this is a side thing for all the hosts, so sometimes things need to pivot quickly

I am a bit frustrated by the "we just found out about this" aspect of the decision. You've already pointed so many people towards D+ as a platform, and were hyping up Andor coverage as recently as a few days ago. If you had decided to postpone coverage in advance, I think people would be less upset

What are your issues? The original post is being purposefully pompous. It's a character, like Stephen Colbert. You're not supposed to take it seriously. Connecting them to a parent estranged from their child is deranged.
