Finally, this TITANIC news is out, and I'm proud to say I'm the lead designer of the game. It's an incredible honor and privilege to be part of this adventure.

But of course, player can also modify and repair stuff. These are two "variants" downtime actions they can use in these cases.

I was asking how crafting works in my fantasy hack merging Forbidden Lands and Blades.
Here the answer.

If a player has a blueprint or a formula, they can create an item or an alchemical compound (a potion, a poison, etc.) following this simple rule.

I will post the crafting action tomorrow (here in Italy is 0:21 am right now).

In my hack merging forbidden lands and blades, all downtime is diceless - included the crafting action.
* a bunch of question, a clock, a cost.

I haven't mentioned my games in a while but if you don't have it, you can grab a copy of MORIAH here at: urania-games.itch.io/moriah

I say this because for the Folklore jam I'm planning to write a couple of new roads based on the tales of Maria Makiling and Ibong Adarna solely for use with MORIAH.
MORIAH by Urania Games
A game of sacrifice and redemption.

Looking for playtesters for an upcoming sci-fi horror game kind of like shadowdark meets ten candles meets mothership.

If you want to test it with your group, send me a DM on Bluesky and I’ll send you a free copy.

In my opinion is soooo overated.

This whole "only AI uses endashes" discourse is especially funny from the perspective of a guy who has the ALT+numpad codes for en- and emdashes memorised so he can still use them when posting from desktop terminals which lack his accustomed keyboard shortcuts.

Examine and analyze the conceptual models that underlie games.

Examine and analyze the ways that the game's processes embody its underlying models.

(These diagrams are about our game Under Hollow Hills, from this blog post: lumpley.games/2021/04/07/p...)
A diagram showing the model of interaction that underlies the design of Under Hollow Hills. Two characters meet. They each reveal themself and learn about the other, and so come to understand who each other are. This gives them each the opportunity to draw closer, to rebuff the other, or to withdraw. The decisions they make change themselves and their relationship, so that now or eventually they might meet one another anew. So the cycle repeats for as long as their relationship exists. A diagram showing how Under Hollow Hills' basic moves (called "obvious plays" in the game) embody the relationship model in the previous diagram.
- By confronting someone you both reveal yourself to them and, from their response, learn about them. You come to, perhaps, an explicit understanding. You might rebuff them or, by mutual understanding, draw closer. And by making this demand of them, you'll very likely change your relationship.
- By drawing them out, much the same, but openly instead of confrontationally. You're specifically not rebuffing them. By drawing them out instead of confronting them, you're more likely to deepen your relationship than by issuing confrontational demands, but less likely to simply get them to do what you want them to.
...And so on. Follow the link in the post for much more detail.
