I don't think anything game changing happens for the value of return. But you might have been able to get value out of your 1st round picks. Should have fully gone for the rebuild 2 years before trading Lavine.

They also had talent to sell off, unlike this Bulls team. Hard to make trades with impact when you have been the 10 seed for 5 straight years.
