Or if you prefer: colors reminiscent of the VHS box for Leonard Nimoy's 1986 "Star Trek IV: The Journey Home" The furby's face is slightly obscured by shadow, its one visible eye leering, as if to say, "I am a squid and I bring your deep water ruin," or possibly, "koo-loo-doo?"

I've been painting some magic the gathering proxies for my partner who's been fine-tuning a Furby deck for the past couple of months

Here's a Furby Squid.

a portrait orientation vista of a beach in the Isle of Spires from Horizon Forbidden West, the now tropical remains of the city of San Francisco, 1000 years into the future. a couple of ruined vehicle lie buried in the sand, water washing to shore, towered over by decaying skyscrapers overgrown with lush foliage and trees. the vista stretches into the far background. large clouds loom in the sky beyond. on the top left, a logo, fashioned after the "enhanced weapon with coils" achievement icon by artist Liselore Goedhart the interior of each "coil" has a water droplet and a growing sprout to signify this deck as a blue and green type magic deck the aforementioned design as represented on the dragon shield website to give a facsimile of how the sleeves will look once printed. the sleeves have a painterly white border and rest atop a fuax wooden surface

A wholly, and terrifically tacky pirate themed wetbar on the left several shelves of liquor and mixers on the right, I THINK a wine rack? prop replica weapons on the wall hilariously cartoonish skulls wine glasses hanging upside above a pirate wine mom dream a lounge area with, if you can believe it, prop sword replicas once again pleather upholstered lounge bench, rope decals the works an entry way, a ventilation duct is disguised as a mast the engine hold, bery clean, in good condition it seems (to me a layman)

ive been working on a lot of test and pitch pages the last few months trying to get things moving and finally realized that if i forgo inks in my backgrounds and just paint them i get a final result that im particularly pleased with
one panel from a tbd test page featuring a figure set between two halves of an ocean liner dioramain a glass displaycase. the display and figure are in a long, brightly lit hallway - the promenade deck of the ship these models are based on. the character and display cases are inked, the background is painted digitally with no inks

ours is the brother hl-l2460dw ( i think ours might be an older model) its cheap and fussy to get connected with our network but all of my zines are b&w so it mostly gets the job done!

heres some examples of what ive printed over the last few years
interior of my zine, "biblically accurate star wars" the two pages depict darth Vader and princess Leia respectively in my eyes and spheres interpretation of "biblically accurate" angels but as star wars characters a spread of comics from my "threescore and ten" sea shanty comic. the left layout depicts different ways sailors can die along with sinking ships. the second page is a splash page showing a larger two-mast vessel being hit by a rogue wave an interior spread of my zine/mini comic "Lake in the Mountains" depicting a spectral/rottin wolf carcass walking along the surface of a lake

the vintage sign and printer maker set in question a Fulton 120 which i believe is from the 60s? pre-cleaning Each block is a rubber stamp.

The lights from the Carpathia gleam at the crest of waves close to the veiwer and at those waves where the ship meets the water. She steams ahead. A small quick painting of the Edmund Fitzgerald lost November 10, 1975 on Lake Superior. The waves crash all around the ship as she breaks amidship spouting water upward in a cascade, the ships last breath before she sank, taking with her the lives of her 29 crew members.
