Finally! I’ve been calling my reps demanding and even begging for them to get fed up speak up and FIGHT LIKE MAD! This is how it’s done. Call them out to their faces about the big lies. Demand answers.

The weather radar here in San Diego, CA has been broken since Saturday! With all the firings and funding freezes, it could be down a long time. No phone app alerts about rain & hail coming at all! At this point it’s foolish to think Congress or the courts are going to save the country. Powerless.

Greg, any way you can use your NWS contacts to see if the recent turmoil at NWS is contributing to these multi-day radar outages in CA? San Diego is getting spotty downpours on and off today. It really sucks not having the usual precip alerts to know when rain is imminent and radar is EMPTY.

Still nothing on social media or in the news about the KNKX radar being down. NWS told not to disclose this to the public? If so, this is disturbing. Only a status message buried on the website. Part of SD county (esp. Southern) has no/poor radar coverage. @weatherwest.bsky.social @nws.noaa.gov

I was wondering why it just hailed & poured here in SE San Diego and not a single alert on my phone and when I pulled up radar NO RETURNS at all. I’m so angry and sad our once incredible NWS is already showing signs of being broken. This is going to cost lives in tornado country this spring.

Massive protests and incessantly hammering Congress, especially the republicans is LONG overdue. If we sit back and keep waiting around until ACA is repealed, USPS is privatized and SS and Medicare are watered down horribly, it will be too late. It would take decades to rebuild all of it.

Pathetic privileged rich people trying to gate off their enclave. I’m sure it’s the same folks that moan and complain about all the homeless. The lack of middle income affordable housing has a downward effect which “eats up” smaller cheaper housing for very low income folks & they end up homeless.

I agree SD acts like it’s still a city of ~300k..1950-ish. Thanks to the city not having a moving day no parking program to block off a space for your moving truck you end up blocking a lane. A move yesterday on 30th in South Park really backed things up and made for a very dangerous situation! 😡

Kroger ruined Mariano’s in the Chicago area. The stores used to be bustling…the shopping experience was much more pleasant than say Jewel (Albertsons). And Macys ruined Marshall Fields. It’s no longer special. The stores are dingy/messy and customer service is nonexistent.

Edinburgh is one of my favorite cities in the world. Vibrant, yet not overwhelmingly large. So much interesting history and architecture. And the locals are just all around great people.
