When the sitting President issues death threats against Members of Congress who voice opposition - including our Senator, @slotkin.senate.gov - he's violating the oath he swore to protect and defend the constitution, and the very bedrock of our democracy.
Earlier this morning, President Trump threatened me and a group of service and veteran Members of Congress with arrest, trial, and death by hanging.

The Livingston County Dems get it: to win in Michigan’s 7th, you’ve got to outperform the average Democrat in this county. And to do that, you’ve got to be a fighter. I would be the first Democrat Navy SEAL to serve in the House — I’m ready for that fight, and so are the Livingston Dems.

The South Lyon Dems showed up with real energy last night. They’re active, social, and connected to their community, and you can tell they enjoy doing this work together. I’m glad to be part of this strong Team!

I had a blast being mic’d up at the MSU Homecoming Parade, with students, neighbors, dogs, and kids everywhere. (And no surprise to any parents: lots of “6-7!” along the route.)
