Meet Armando, the Section 409 trumpeter, who flew in from Panama today with 8 of his friends. This is their first time at Yankee Stadium. They landed at Newark at 5 pm today and came directly to the game.
Somehow, Armando got his trumpet through security. And everyone up here is glad he did.

It’s one thing for me to see someone I covered for the Daily Collegian succeed in the NFL; it’s quite another to see a Penn State baseball player I covered in college reach the majors at all. That Justin Hagenman is also pitching well is pretty dang cool

Interesting nugget in Ken Rosenthal and Dennis Lin's piece last night about the Padres targeting Miller. They might stretch him out to make him a starter, as they've done successfully with guys like Seth Lugo, Michael King and Stephen Kolek.
