The play was brilliant, huge in scope. Very unlike Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. And that looming context came rushing in.

At one point, I turned my head, to look at everyone else around me. There was something weird in the context, with Covid coming. There were a lot of older people there. All around me, people’s faces, looking grim as they watched.

I wondered how many of them would come out of what was approaching.

Fungi collections in many museums are deteriorating and need sequencing. Fast and cheap sequencing technologies exist, but because they are not as accurate at first try as much more $$$$ slower technologies, many curators have not agreed to take the small samples needed to verify DNA.
