Ah yes Top 10 prospect Kevin Newman was a good one!

The law rankings are always my favorite because someone always is way higher than they should be. I still remember top 100 prospect JoJo Romero back in the day

What do you see the Phillies potential draft plans being? They made a notable shift in who they pick pitcher wise and are pushed back a good bit on placement, also an extra pick for ranger.

You can also restock some prospect depth off moves from Sosa and Bohm this off-season and stott next year if you want

He feels like he’ll resurface in 2027 for Colorado
January 9, 2026 at 8:56 PM
They can also just continue to throw money at hitting, since they’ve figured out they can develop/reshape starting pitching, only if they can figure out how to develop pen arms

Wonder if it’s more money to run him through waivers and too AAA
December 22, 2025 at 11:55 PM
Add in Gage Wood most likely in the pen late, or next year, you got 4 guys over the next couple years to help your team in addition to Chris Sanchez whose a bargain, frees you up to add someone later when wheeler, next realmuto deal, Walker/Casty money is up

I think Philly says they eat all the money minus the minimum and some throws in a middle relief guy in someone’s top 50 who throws hard but has no clue where it’s going and probably never will, my guess is Miami

Getting a foot in the door even by small increments is a good thing, even if this amounts to nothing the time and effort to go through with this is notable to me
December 5, 2025 at 9:12 PM
To be fair they said a different vision, everyone thought different from the Rockies but they meant the whole sport
November 6, 2025 at 10:03 PM
Can’t, players traded in season can’t be offered it
November 6, 2025 at 9:59 PM
Attracting players to that market is an issue and cycling prospects with years of control, Pitt is also not keeping a lot of their own players unless they start doing more pre-arb deals which I feel like will become more common
November 4, 2025 at 1:56 PM
I assume he gets time on Sunday or the sunday start
September 27, 2025 at 8:58 PM
Have you gotten to see any of Manning by chance? Curious to see what’s been going on with him especially considering the wheeler news
August 19, 2025 at 6:50 PM
I’m on the you have to pay down whatever it takes for someone to take him next year and take back whatever middle relief prospect they offer back train, I just don’t think they can do the bad defense and streak mid-hitting another year, give marsh LF and patch together CF and RF

Read your write up yesterday, was a great read! Do you think he’s put himself in Rule 5 protection spot now? Baring trades going into 2026 with Painter, Cabrera and McGarry on the 40-man sounds like good depth
August 12, 2025 at 1:27 PM
Gotta start locking down wins and not playing with their food.
August 6, 2025 at 2:38 AM
Makes sense, was hoping there would be 1 depth move coming don’t hate this at all
July 31, 2025 at 10:58 PM
Does he have an option year next year? Can’t find that out
July 31, 2025 at 10:56 PM
Can’t see Walker or Lazar
being on the roster, feel like that is Painters spot
July 31, 2025 at 2:37 AM
Was just thinking about October, my guess is depending they line up Wheeler, Chris and Nola with Suarez coming out of the pen in the NLDS with luzardo, and Suarez is the 4th starter in the NLCS pending, don’t like Nola out of the pen
July 31, 2025 at 2:20 AM
That report sounds like white Sox propaganda to drive up the Phillies price and if the Phillies don’t budge they take the Mets offer
