And yeah one model of Phone had a design flaw where you could bridge the ground and the antenna with your hand, making your connection worse.

this is in just 24 hours! now, go through your camera roll on your phone. how many photos do you have? a few thousand?

look at every image. see how long it takes you to look at each image - individually - and decide what is in it. don't think about it too long, but do look at each one.

This is going around again and it is not true. Like every site on the internet, Bluesky uses machine learning to do a first-pass approximation of image classification to detect and label content. They have repeatedly confirmed outside services do not use Bluesky user data to train their models.

I hear and see your concerns. Over the weekend, a couple users hosted on Blacksky's PDS were banned from the Bluesky app and thus the Bluesky API servers. This was a weakness of our system I've been aware of and hoped we had more time to address before any kind of public incident. 1/11

I've been radio silent because I'm in the process of standing up an app.bsky.* API server (aka app-view aka Barnes & Nobles). This is an expensive and time intensive operation that I didn't want to do until it was necessary.
It's a fail-safe not a differentiator in experience, but important 7/11

activitypub is “many websites emailing each other”. there’s no prescribed data flow. there’s no shared identity. it’s a bunch of isolated apps that email each other behind the scenes

whereas atproto is more like a set of conventions to allow all apps to act as if their data is in a global database

The issue is that Blacksky still uses Bluesky's appview which is why Bluesky moderation was still applied, but alternate clients that don't use the appview can still see the user's account, so it is a problem that is solvable once blacksky gets their own appview:
