My Bsky settings working as intended and only showing me notifications from people I follow in my notifications tab is great. I’ve noticed that some posts, mostly political, tend to escape containment and get a lot of engagement, but I don’t have to see it and I can live in blissful ignorance. 🥰

I’ve seen a lot of optimism and a lot of unease after last night’s results, both being valid. I think a lot of us have been hopeful/optimistic for too long and had it then reversed, viscerally, months/years later. I feel we’re grieving the politics of old.

The fact that NYC chose Mamdani as their Democratic candidate in the primary, and the entire Democratic Party didn’t come out in support of him is such a slap in the face to New Yorkers. Shame on them. But thank you, NYC, for sticking to your guns.
