The takeaway should be: ask yourself wtf is ICE doing to turn a city full of upstanding people like Alex Peretti into people who kick cars. I mean we are way past having to ask that basic question but maybe some people need to start at the beginning to figure it out.

I regret listening to it. That's literally the whole 'joke'. He just calls her the r word and a lesbian a bunch of times and pauses to laugh at himself for saying a bad word like his parents might catch him being naughty.

If there's anything that's hopeful about all of this, it's that even the fairweather milquetoast politicians are starting to be swayed. If not because of actual human empathy, because the vocal anger is reaching a boiling point that not even algorithm quarantined media can hide.
