Truly one of the most pressing issues of our time. As an elder millennial it's hard not to be depressed seeing how the world exploded with possibility due to the internet then was sliced up, divided and quarantined by big corporations. We exist to sell or be sold things by an algorithm.
New from me: The internet promised the democratization of information, power, and expression. Now there are vanishingly few ways to be online that don't involve being a billboard.

Complete rock bottom emotional maturity. If GOP wants us to be on board with upping ICE budgets maybe include mandatory therapy. Of course you're angry at everything if you can't express your emotions like an adult.

It’s a little bit funny that so many people with influential platforms remain committed to the idea that Trumpism, as a political project, is mysterious and hard to pin down – while Trump himself constantly goes “Gotta protect the white real Americans from the black and brown hordes.”
