This thread has some of the best insights into the CCP’s approach to media, which they see as a warfare domain. 👇

@stephenmcdonell.bsky.social @steven You might have to come to the US for your next posting to use the techniques you've mastered for covering the CPPCC and Two Sessions…

The Mar-a-Lago sycophant-fest reminds me of this:
This is what Chinese tech tycoons brought to the table at China's Two Sessions | KrASIA
At China's most important political event of the year, they called for development in 5G, IoT, and tech education, among other fields.

We are seeing not a frozen conflict, but a frozen defeat. Putin cannot win, but he refuses to accept the L. At each point where his defeat has been defined, he has chosen escalation. This gives the mistaken impression that the war could have been ended sooner. That is a false spectre.

This can't be anything other than bad.
Fabulous
WIRED has tracked thousands of US military & intel personnel coming & going from classified sites, incl. NSA hubs & nuclear vaults. We know where they sleep, what they eat, and which brothels they visit.

It's an ocean of blackmail & national secrets within reach of every spy agency in the world.

I made the same argument in the National Interest nationalinterest.org/blog/buzz/en...
Ukr disarmed in 1994; it is now de facto getting sacrificed to invasion by a nuclear aggressor w the argument: "we gotta worry abt not starting a nuclear war, so we can't arm Ukr conventionally too much". If Ukr loses, there'll be nuclear proliferation because no one would want to be the next Ukr.

Ok @mikeschmitt.bsky.social made me realise there was no proper international humanitarian law starter pack so I’ve created my first one. It is far from being complete so please feel free to mention yourself and/or others who should be included!
