In Sept 19% of our Year 7 were 5 years below their reading age on entry, now 6%. Just 37% were working at or above their chronological reading age now 56%.

Reading Plus has over 1300 high interest age and content appropriate texts for students to choose from, giving them complete autonomy to read what they want from a wide range of topics and genres to open up their cultural capital, whilst working on key skills like retrieval and inference.

Reading Plus is an effective, scalable & measurable intervention tool to help close the gap on KS3 students who aren't secondary ready, giving them the ability to access the curriculum and become resilient & independent learners.
