There is an oddly anti-science, anti-protective-measures bent inside public health. (Note: there's no mask rule in healthcare even during the current Covid spike, with Long Covid levels still rising).

Let's make it clear, Canada Post doesn't 'lose' money, it is a Crown Corp providing an essential service. It's like saying health transfers to provinces are lost money, or Canada Council grants (more than CP). The trope that post needs to be profitable needs to end.
