Thankful that ARA SfNP provides a blog to feature research - my librarian colleague and I are some of the first to study user experiences of the Irish Queer Archive in the National Library of Ireland - and as always with archives, it ranges from rusty clips to public trust of state institutions.

I love this photo. I love the cat’s position and expression, I love the textures, I love the ethereal light leaks. From my collection, no info known.

It is outside on a lawn, the crunchy dark texture of the grass and hedges contrasting nicely with the light smoothness of its fur. Emerging from the lawn below it are patches of light as if something spectral is emerging from the earth (I believe this is because the film was accidentally exposed to additional light either within the camera or at some point during processing).
