Horse girl, but for trains
@maxamas.bsky.social
I like my dogs, but I miss my best friend.

I like sports, but don’t root for ownership groups.

I dislike the police state.
This ad for sleep apnea has me feeling a little confused about what I'm into

This is naive and incorrect. AI is being used by ALL learners, not just “stupid and lazy” ones and it is having an impact on learning already. What that full impact is we don’t know because it’s all so new, but it’s clearly not as cut and dry as you’re implying.

As a non-military lawyer, I am appalled beyond belief that (even if true, which it obviously isn't) "attempting to continue their drug run" from a burning boat can qualify as being either a valid military target or a "threat" to the US navy, especially when it's about someone WE AREN'T AT WAR WITH.

Look at these two nuggets. They bonded so fast!

Somehow I think that, despite living in California my entire life, following @phillytradesman.bsky.social might be turning me into a Philly sports fan. wtf

Had to look up GTTM: Give to the max!

I happened to donate to the shelter yesterday that we got our two new ones from (in memory of the girl we lost—pictured in my pfp), so I feel like we participated in spirit even though we aren’t in Minnesota.

Reading about protests in Berkeley for the TPUSA “event” and I see this quote from a Kirk supporter.

These people are so fucking stupid. Do you think civil war is like a Disney movie? “I’m honestly ok with it” as though you’re talking about settling for pizza instead of Chinese food.

She’s a good little dog, despite looking too similar to my precious Kiki for my poor ol’ heart to take. But she’s helping with the grief as much as she can!

35% of people choosing to pack up and move house does not imply that most are “very pleased”. Moving is AWFUL and people usually have to be pushed pretty far before they do it.

Winning a wave election then promptly abandoning any principles as they are wont to do.

In two weeks we will see this didn’t actually accomplish anything for healthcare but just gave Trump a W and cemented the long-term cuts of our remaining safety nets.

These two may not fill the hole in my heart left by losing my Kiki (the dog in my profile), but I have to admit I’m glad they’re here now to help.

Normal people who are just doing bureaucracy. Not pulling a trigger, not swinging a fist, just doing their jobs.

Gee I wonder if this will come back to bite the UC. They’ve never been let down by a third party before!

Oh no, oh dear

The ACA’s backbone is Republican friendly things like the individual mandate and forcing people into private insurance markets rather than a complete single-payer system.

Obama himself said the plan draws significantly from the Heritage Foundation! (You know them, the Project 2025 folks.)
October 21, 2025 at 4:15 PM
You’re disingenuously rewriting history. Obama modeled the ACA on Romneycare BECAUSE it was GOP-lite. He (mistakenly) believed that because it was a Republican idea they would be on board. It’s another example of Dems thinking they are bargaining in good faith with the other side.

This one message Streisanded me into reading the article. (It’s a good article, but the intrigue made it so much better.)

Even if she WAS guilty it’s clearly nothing but fishing, but I’m dying that the case hinges on property rented to a family member and that she DOES use it personally.

One can only assume “OpenAI Ethics” is trending alongside “World Cup” because OpenAI formed their ethics policy based on a framework developed by FIFA

Thank you. This thread makes me feel insane. Biden refused to exercise any leverage over Israel and push through this deal. Everyone is treating Biden as smol bean president uwu who had no ability to influence Israel. That’s counter to reality.

These new dogs are good, but I miss my Kiki. She was the best friend anyone ever had. My only remaining fear of death is that once I’m gone, nobody will know how perfect and loved she was.

Wealth corrupts human nature, not the inverse.

"The greater the mental charlatan, the more definite his insistence on the wickedness and weaknesses of human nature. Yet, how can any one speak of it today, with every soul in a prison, with every heart fettered, wounded, and maimed?"
