Apparently I was not the only one to meet Ben Minicucci (very cool) in the AS HUB today, the FAA administrator was visiting. I noticed that they blocked off two spaces out front for "FAA Parking" but assumed it was for inspectors.

Any guesses on what this UA connection CRJ550 is doing in Seattle? It's been sitting on the FBO ramp for two days. My thought was sports charter but I'm not sure who it would be as it came from phoenix and none of their teams are here afaik

I just happened to watch it arrive and do a rejected takeoff test!

Fun weekend in Chicago! Was the original plan NYC? Yes. Did I have to buy confirmed to not get stuck in ANC? Yes. Did I have to buy confirmed to get back to SEA for work after twenty people bought last minute? Also yes. Worth it!

Quick tour of SCC station and back on board to ANC. Super cool little place, very cold! They had a spot in the hangar for the medevac plane but it wasn't here unfortunately.

Headed off on an Alaskan avgeek adventure for the weekend. First off an ANC-SCC Deadhorse turn on AS55. Then off to Adak for the afternoon!

I get that this has to go somewhere and this street is space constrained but this reader board is fully blocking a sidewalk and bike lane, and it looks like it could be there for a full year? There has to be a better solution.

Not quite the same flight but close!

Was wondering where this UA Dreamliner was flying into Salt Lake from. Turns out it's a diversion from LHR-DEN which makes a lot more sense. Wouldn't want to be on there rn.

Went up the tram at Snowbird today and when we got back down this caught my eye in the exhibit on the first owner.

One of the funniest things Ive learned about the AS operation the last few weeks is that they're towing the Tokyo A330 from S to N gates every day so that it can depart from the Alaska terminal and be seen from the lounge. It makes sense but still

After around ten years of following the industry from the outside, today was my first day at an airline and of my first "real" job.
Thanks to everyone who has taught me about the industry and grown my love for commercial aerospace, especially @airlineflyer.net and @petchmo.bsky.social
