Trying something different with the map "hexes" in Tales from the Supernova. When tiled in this way, cards are identical to hexagons. 🎲✂️

You're gonna see a lot more of Tales From the Supernova in the coming months!
Removing player boards did a lot to speed up the teach of the game.

Who wouldn't want a 1-6 player smash up of a 4X game and Pax game? 🎲✂ #boardgame #boardgamedesign

Looks like he wants to be a dentist.

🎲✂ I've been working on a fusion 4X/Pax game for a while, and I'm running into some tension between the two "styles" of games and I'm wondering if it's a design issue on my side or an issue of misunderstanding the genres.

When you think of a "PAX" game what does that mean?
What does 4X mean to you?

Best use of a glossary in a game to date as well. (Third edition, but still)

A different coat of paint and it looks like a totally different game.🎲✂️

Playtests of Supernova and Untitled Cowboy Game were both super exciting. It's very cool to see both of these come together!

Pre release went well, ended up losing 1-2 to a guy whose pool was Sephiroth, Cloud, Buster Sword, nibelheim aflame, two Joshuas and a ton of removal in black and white and red.

He had more removal and rares in his deck than I opened.

New rulebook for my cowboy worker placement game, no name yet. Are you going to be an honorable Sherrif, or a train robbing outlaw?

New prototype boards are looking good, need to do the trains and the player references next.

New Cowboy worker placement game, successful playtest. I lost, but it was a blast. Really surprised how good this one already feels.

Uh, so I knew I had this in too big a box before this, but I didn't realize how small a footprint this actually has.

You can fit all of tales from the Supernova into the Arcs Miniatures pack box which is roughly the size of Patchwork.

My very real and not sarcastic whatsoever takeaway from reading this is that I am Eric Lang now.
