Did some cool things. Now concentrating on dad stuff. I rage against the dying of the light.
The parable of the Scorpion and the Frog seems particularly apt for guiding relations going forward

I'm reminded of how many have noted that Musk sounds smart when he speaks of something the listener is not an expert in. But as soon as one has expertise in the subject matter he is discussing it becomes painfully apparent that he has no clue whatsoever what he is talking about.

Those laws and conventions were put in place by successive generations people that fought unrestrained conflicts and realized how horrific they were for everyone involved. It’s not a matter of what others think. Those laws don’t just protect the enemy.

Utter bullshit. This is not how it works. They meet the legal definition for being hors de combat in both international and non international armed conflict.

Never mind the fact that they aren’t even legally combatants regardless of whatever half baked executive order says.

A response to this capitulating insanity bu Shaun Pinner, veteran of the siege of Mariupol.

Trump is itching to get stuck into an illegal conflict in Venezuela while abandoning heroes righteously fighting for actual freedom and democracy in Ukraine. This impacts real people.

This is the crux of the issue in relation to Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine. The West studiously avoids setting decisive conditions for an end to the conflict. Achieving a peace that won’t soon crumble into a war takes bold action.

Holy shit

The guys that neurotically look for ways to not have to pay taxes are killing the IRS? And they’re the same ones that bury their wealth in business and investment loopholes so they won’t ever pay a dime again?

Am I reading that right?

“This narrative persists due to laws repressing questioning, unilateral education and a cultural taboo that discourages the critical examination of evidence.” Horrific. Straight out of the worst Holocaust deniers’ playbook.

Making judicial duels great again was not on my bingo card. As you say. It’s been tried. Didn’t work out all that great. The current model is still flawed but better than what came before.
