On a more serious note, I can’t help but wonder how much of this wartime footing is about establishing hemispheric dominance and not about either of the two countries that are actual threats?

Instead, the galaxy brain move here appears to be relieving pressure asap on it and giving it the time and resources it needs to be ready to pile on with China.

If i was a smart man, and I’m not saying that I am, that thought that I was going to be at war with China and Russia and there’s a major conflict in which one of those two was already engaged, I’d do my damnest to defeat that one while I had the opportunity.
