People start crying nowadays when they hear shared value as if it's way to manipulate so tbc shared values with ind was used by a tiny group of us policymakers pre 91 mostly Kennedy group & post 91 ind used it instrumentally to get close to reigning hegemon.No one was naive innocent.Not us nor ind.

Say USA consolidated hemisphere,kept Japan & Korea maybe Aus,gulf on side was transactional about rest cud china win. I don’t see Eur going to chn cultural & civilisational ties are too strong. And you force chm to provide public goods & take responb for under dev countries rather than free ride

Historically after end of previous order transition period was chaotic then great powers came together to form some sort of system that everyone cud agree on that they imposed on others. Problem is who is great power who get to create the system was decided by war.Winners chose.Now more complicated.

By the way this is called a special military operation. This is exactly what Russia wanted to do with the vdv assault at airport at start. I dislike this line because it's very modern lib. Replacing words with its sanitized meanings. Lenin or mao wouldn't be talking about warmth of collectivism. As mao said revolution isn't a dinner party.Word came from scientific socialist circles I believe which was explicitly against sentiment
