Maybe someday we're finding a profile pic—but not prying the em dash from my hands. 30s. Writing, reading, gaming, flailing, etc. Gimme love stories and spooky stuff. No AI.

Friends, if anyone on here sneers at em dashes being used in professional writing as a sign of AI, I'm just going to beg you to read anything from the BEFORE days. The reason AI overuses em dashes is that the people it stole from overuse em dashes. It was trained on 15 of my solely-em-dash books.

Always starting the spooky season early. Game-wise, finally picked Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night back up, restarted and finished it. Playing Granblue Fantasy: Relink right now.

A favorite punctuation mark (it's the semicolon)
A controversial grammar opinion
Anxiety over spending money on books, pens, or notebooks
Anxiety, period

The Deep Ones - I’ve been always thinking about a deep sea Cephalopod theme and here it is! Tentacles and appendages are so different when it comes to arranging the composition so it took me a good while, and hopefully it ends up well! 🦑🐙They’re just like from another world💙

Walt Whitman called the moon “a face in the sky.” Sylvia Plath called it “a white skull.” Every poet tries to claim it, but the moon belongs to no one. It just listens, glows, and turns the tides of what we write. #BookologyThursday

Some first draft progress is just tightening the gap between "this is stupid and juvenile and it's never going to be good" and "I don't CARE I'm gonna finish it ANYWAY."

Is anyone else eagerly awaiting cooler temperatures, pumpkin patches, ominous mansions, fog-laden fields of corn, autumn festivals, pumpkin pastries, Halloween, resplendent trees, the full moon in October, spooky films, and the heartwarming sound of crows in the distance?

City parking lots at night. Rain driveling down car windows. A phone smashed on a marble floor. A hulking, blurry shape in the dark, stooping under a door frame. The moon seen out a jagged cave mouth. Something breathing deep in a pit. A fruit smoothie. A woman clutching a lighter. #WritingPrompt
