I watch travel vids bc I can’t afford to travel. It’s disheartening to see Americans take a shallow approach to experiencing the world and complaining about local customs because they’re inconvenienced. But I love the approach Peter Santenello takes- connect with locals! Find a common denominator!

Will it pass? Probably not. But it shouldn’t have been introduced in the first place. The end goal here is so obvious.
On Thursday, Rep. Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.) proposed a constitutional amendment allowing Trump to seek a third presidential term, while still barring Bush, Clinton and Obama from running again. The amendment is highly unlikely to pass.

President Donald Trump has hinted at the possibility of somehow serving a third term in office.

one of the things i hate most about "originalism" as a supposed methodology is that the practice of it rests on the idea that it takes the specialized knowledge of a special elite to be able to understand the plain language of the constitution.

Agreed- and anyone with a disability! We should collectively stop answering all voluntary self identification questions on job applications regardless of disability status, gender, race, or ethnicity.

Putting this in the thread, this is referring to what revoking EO11246 does to workplace nondiscrimination law:
For those asking, this does not alter the workplace protections of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, but the federal contractor EO obviously was a significant stick the federal government could use to ensure that any employer wanting to do business with the government wasn't discriminating.
BREAKING: In a new executive order sent out by the White House, Donald Trump has revoked the federal contractor nondiscrimination executive order, EO 11246, that was signed by Lyndon Johnson in 1965 and has protected employees of businesses seeking federal contracts from discrimination ever since.

The full order does not only address gov't or contractors. It includes a section "Encouraging the Private Sector to End Illegal DEI" that directs the AG to send Trump a "plan of specific steps or measures to deter DEI programs or principles ... that constitute illegal discrimination or preferences."

Knowing full well that our Archivist would face legal setbacks to publishing the Equal Rights Amendment, Biden waited until 3 days before Trump’s inauguration to “declare” it law. This does not put the ERA into practice. Trump will appoint a new Archivist Jan 20. What exactly was the point, Biden?

House Resolution 7 lays the groundwork for women’s “healthcare”, but it’s actually a guise by which legislators will continue to strip away women’s reproductive rights.
