I'm gonna take a blessed ignorance for $500 for this one, HRT

Also you probably blew up the global financial system, but I'm not smart enough to say exactly how and where the pieces would fall.

Of course, they still have a place to live. And if they want to live in a similar place somewhere else, they still can sell and move, same as today. And more people have good homes!

But you've just made an angry mob out of every suburban family in America, good luck with the midterms.

To give a concrete example, the housing crisis is primary: almost everything else is downstream of it.

Let's say we managed to knock the price of a home down by 50%. Suddenly a bunch of people who own million dollar single family homes now have $500,000 in real estate and they are MAD.

Reading this a little more critically, non-ideological means a complete absence of a theory of political economy.

Everybody would like things to be cheaper and better. No one is willing to accept working harder for less.

And I got to play a 30th level D&D 4e wizard!

My turns took 90 minutes to execute, which would have been AWFUL in person, but was suitably epic online

Anything with a lot of interactivity and negotiation is hard to pull off, like Blades in the Dark or Apocalypse World where aligning the mechanics and the fiction is a core part of the experience.

Crunchy games like 4e and Lancer work surprisingly well. Everyone can trust the rules.

I did a bunch of heavy (D&D 3.x, D&D 4e) games on RPOL.net back in the day.

It works pretty well. Key difference is that you tend to have three or four paragraph monologues rather than dialog. If the GM can manage it, they should post every 48 hours, even if a player is missing.

The only flaw in the ointment is the team's Async edited my character's memory to add that he died in the "crash", and has a picked up a condition for the exsurgent virus that he's now obsessed with foiled plans...

Meanwhile, the swarmoid hacker got access to Xu's security system, with a full list of Titan artifacts.

Including an antimatter bomb that'll clean up the rest quite nicely 👹

Me and the async got sent out with two of her minions to clean up the firefight from last week's session.

Unfortunately, those minions died in a tragic Martian sinkhole accident (turning their backs on an assassin in combat armor)
