Several of these bills then extrapolate that antisemitism as defined in this way should be evidence of discriminatory intent.

One concerning thing I am noticing as I am reading through #OKleg bills this session, is several policies from folks in both parties defining antisemitism in statute using a definition that has examples of critique of Israel.

When I had the responsibility of sharing the news of Nex's death through my work at @freedomoklahoma.bsky.social, we knew Nex broadly used they/them pronouns, and used he/him pronouns with folks Nex was closest to. In initial sharing, we chose not to use pronouns and asked others to do the same.

Also, the update to counseling procedures would no longer allow school counselors to refer students to clinics or community resources.

And several changes that make the open records process more ambiguous and more cost prohibitive, with increased posturing towards limiting access to records requested, especially concerning the frequently questionable hiring and employment decisions made to further politics ahead of public ed.

For instance, they seem to continue being comfortable committing to the harm. There's also a proposed rule change that would revoke the department's commitment to civil rights.
