WARNER: Can you explain how it helps natl security or our trade balance - I loved your fancy Greek formula which was bad math on steroids - how with a trade surplus Australia got hit with a 10% tariff as well?

GREER: Australia has the lowest rate available

WARNER: We have a trade surplus!

A reminder that if the government can send migrants to a prison camp without any due process, it can send U.S. citizens there, too. I know because this happened to me and my family in 1942.

One of the most important things for Dems to do for long-term viability as a party is elect as many pro-housing local leaders as we can, especially in states projected to lose population - then empower them to build fast.

I don't see a conflict between abundance and antitrust. To the contrary, YIMBY policy is intended to help create many small- and medium-scale infill builders who can out-compete big single family developers like Lennar as well as large-scale apartment developers like Greystar.

Your regular reminder that the US air & water pollution laws passed in the 60s & 70s -- and the elaborate federal bureaucracy created to administer them -- constitute one of the most successful gov't interventions in history. WILDLY successful. The envy of the world.

To be clear, given the Supreme Court’s ruling, there is no legal basis for the Biden administration not enforcing the TikTok ban tomorrow and Trump granting a 90-day extension after that. There is no “significant progress” toward a divestiture because there is no announced progress toward a sale.
Supreme Court unanimously upholds law that effectively bans TikTok on Sunday
“[T]he challenged provisions are facially content neutral and are justified by a content-neutral rationale," the court held.

Next is Alexa, who claims that high density housing will "destroy" the downtown. Says all the businesses say so. Claims "you will destroy our community" if the council moves forward with this plan. "We are not Redwood City."
