While raising the cap was the more logical way to go about things, I did think there was a world where the HIP rule could be sensibly deployed. But having certain criteria come down to award voting sometimes involving people who don’t follow NWSL closely causes more problems than solutions. #NWSL

I’m a little surprised Ella Stevens has elected to go to free agency. She missed most of the year with an injury and I would have thought that would affect her free agency prospects. However she must have had positive enough talks with other clubs and must feel comfortable moving on. #GothamFC #NWSL
