I tend to agree that no new rules will be added or anything and that a Rodman contract with Washington will have to fit the current cap parameters, but I still thought the question was worth asking.

Like if Rodman does end up signing a contract with Washington that’s similar to the one mentioned in the article, would someone like Sophia Wilson then adjust her asking price from teams?

I’m not saying that another NWSL team would sign her if the Spirit don’t, I’m more talking about teams waiting to see if the league raises the salary cap, or a new rule gets introduced and players waiting to see what Rodman could get from the Spirit and then adjusting their asking price in response

Is there a possibility that this situation potentially sees players/teams wait until a resolution is reached before becoming more active in free agency?
