Fully groovy. Not really lazy, just unwilling to work at creating profits for capitalists.
Learning more about AI slop and I’m so glad I deleted my other social media accounts.

I try not to fret over national news, but I have to keep up. It’s all unnerving, but I feel particularly upset over all the science and cultural institutions under attack.

“Havok,” a Gareth Evans action film has little plot, but a good setting for a bunch of brain-splintering combat/action scenes. This is a good thing. It it’s the kind of action film in which one guy can shoot a bad guy 11 times and just to make sure they got him, they bury him in shelving.

Something pleasant, but melancholy today. This is Lula. She was my dog through about 10 of the worst years of my life. But she made it survivable. She died of an inoperable tumor about three years and there’s not a day goes by that I don’t miss her. Some days more than most. Such a good dog.

Yes. I am ready for this. I was in NYC when Schumer clobbered Al D’Amato for his Senate seat and it was fresh air and smiles all around. But even when he wasn’t capitulating to tyrants, he was a miserable party leader. So many of the directionless Democrats problem come from him.
Want some good news? Here’s some good news: “ @aoc.bsky.social leads Schumer in head-to-head New York primary matchup by double digits…” 👀 www.politico.com/news/2025/04...

Why is it, every 3-4 years, there’s got to be a new biopic of Bob Dylan?

I’m not going to say there’s only one big thing about this band from 1980— but the biggest thing here is Wee Baby John Linnell playing keyboards.

“The Department of Ungentlemanly Warfare,” a fun rousing WWII epic. Based on a true story! It’s noted that Gus March-Phillipps and Marjorie Stewart married shortly after Operation Postmaster. They were married for just a few months before Phillipps was killed in action on the next raid.

I’m re-watching Twin Peaks for the first time in 25 years. Leland Palmer crashes a Great Northern party and immediately has an emotional breakdown, wailing, with his head on his hands. Comedy gold is when Catherine Martell, dancing with him, turns Leland’s moves into dance steps to cover what’s up.

The Dept of Education has a new website where you can tip off the government about some dastardly, foul instance of “wokeness” on the part of yr child’s teacher. I say we fill the box with complaints and keep them coming!

I’m a big big fan of “White Lotus” on HBO. I was so excited to watch the season 3 premiere last night. So much deserves discussion, but I’ll dwell on just one thing now:

I need to check my settings ‘cause I get an awful lot of posts from gamers and “artists.” I put that in parentheses because a number of them talk about using their blood and guts in their work, but their work appear to be mostly sketches of Pretty Ponies and anime characters.

Hoo boy! My car is in the shop for a few days and I picked up a rental yesterday as a party of my warrantee coverage.

How’d you like the Charger, they said.

Yes, I replied. I would like the Charger. That’d be great!

Wow. David Lynch has passed. The best filmmaker of my lifetime. I think he would have made a helluva movie about our current times. It’s kinda painful to think I’ll never see it.

The NY Times reports Steve Bannon, is feuding with Elon Musk: “He’s a truly evil person,” Bannon said. “Stopping him has become a personal issue for me.”

I think Bannon is a truly evil person so it’s almost shocking that I agree with him.

Fun Stuff to Watch!

“The Head” — A Spanish/Japanese production about an ambitious scientist researching a CO2-eating bacterium that could save the world. But then, murder happens! Murders! It’s a thriller-mystery that continues building on the story, season after season.
