Arresting people without any criminal record or allegations of criminal activity, detaining individuals in broad daylight without due process, and promising to patrol neighborhoods with no oversight is not reflective of a democratic society – it's a threat to it.

Today’s press conference from federal immigration officials failed to address the serious, unanswered questions surrounding recent sweeping enforcement actions in Massachusetts. These are actions that continue to lack transparency and instill fear in communities instead of protecting public safety.

This young man is a student, a teammate, and a neighbor. Now he’s in ICE custody with no answers.

This isn’t safety—it’s cruelty.

We’re in touch with local authorities and working to make sure he has legal support.

From arresting parents in front of their children to pulling people who present no threat out of their cars in broad daylight, the aggressive ICE tactics we’re seeing don't protect the public and instead spread fear and mistrust.

Today, I'm releasing guidance on your rights when it comes to ICE.

Vance is wrong. The law reflects the will of the majority not the whims of one man. Our democracy depends on courts to enforce the law, even against the government. Today's PI blocking the dismantling of the Dept of Ed proves that.

Without courts, we're on a path to authoritarianism.

Revoking Harvard's ability to enroll international students - and telling current ones to transfer or lose legal status - is political retaliation. International students enrich our classrooms, communities and economy. This office will support Harvard should they take legal action.
Trump administration revokes Harvard’s ability to enroll international students, says thousands must transfer - The Boston Globe
The move throws foreign students’ academic futures into uncertainty just a week before graduation. International students make up approximately a quarter of Harvard’s student body.

I've had the privilege of interviewing many exceptional people, but this conversation truly stood out. I had to fight back some tears—not something that's ever happened on the show before.

Keep your eye on Andrea Campbell. This may be the first time you're hearing of her, but it won't be the last.
MA AG Andrea Campbell (@massago.bsky.social) has an extraordinary story to tell, and she's sharing it with us on this week's episode of The Downballot podcast.

Despite an early life dominated by tragedy, Campbell rose to become the state's top law enforcement official. Listen here -->

SCOTUS got this one wrong. This ban is cruel, blatant discrimination - plain and simple. If you're brave enough to risk your life for this country, your gender identity should never be a barrier.
