We are now, as of today, 10 years past the future as it was portrayed in 1989 in Back to the Future Part II. (Which is crazy.)

My memory of war-torn Portland is seeing some excellent live music, and then on the walk back from the bar to the hotel, I had to pee the worst I’ve ever had to pee in my life, and two women laughed at me because I clearly had to pee so badly. And they were right. It was funny.

This is the third paragraph of your link.
The post that we’re both replying to already shows CA as the fourth-largest economy, but with Japan’s still larger.
Because the post forgot to include the U.S. as a larger economy.
Your link DOES include the U.S. as a larger economy — which is my point.

Any number of versions of this would also be an obvious and good answer. (I almost posted Lucy Liu plus one ’cause that show doesn’t get enough love.)

I mean, this one’s a little too easy, and I can’t believe no one’s done it yet. (I love Walter and Astrid too, though.)

About “six original baseball teams”:
There was an amateur club, Forest City, in the 1860s. It was one of the nine original teams in the National Association in 1871.
That team has no connection to the current franchise, other than Cleveland, and didn’t share its nicknames.

I grabbed this video during the Home Run Derby last night.
That’s Bullet Time that they use in the broadcast there. It shows up in lots of sports and lots of other stuff on TV.
It’s pretty hard to overstate the influence of The Matrix.

In theaters 40 years ago today, on Wednesday, July 3, 1985.
I saw Back to the Future in the theater seven times during its original run (and once or twice since then).

ESPN’s new live activities vs. Apple’s.
ESPN doesn’t include balls and strikes or play by play, and it renders the score smaller so it can needlessly re-identify which team is which.
Oh. And it’s slower.
Not great.

In this (real) tweet, DHS is angry that the Times story never mentions that the suspect is (according to DHS) undocumented.
Seems more germane that the Times story doesn't mention that in the state of NY, having sex with a dead body is … a misdemeanor offense.

In Safari on iOS, it still looks like this. It looks like there are just a whole load of line breaks to remove. (Sorry to be the bearer of this annoying news, but I figured you’d want to know!)
