I mean you are supposed to call them by their first names but when you’ve been raised to always call people of your parents generation Mr/Mrs Xyz it will never not feel awkward to do it.

I bought grippy things to install on the slippery linoleum tops but I need to clean them and then wait for them to dry and then install them so I haven’t done it yet

The problem is that our washing machine is in the scary basement and has a broken handrail (they installed it using drywall anchors!) and slippery linoleum tops(!) and when we had guests over thanksgiving they used our washer and one of them fell down the stairs and broke her tailbone so I’m spooked

I have good cheap health insurance through my job… for now. My premiums went up $5 to $40 per paycheck for a plan with a $500 deductible and prescription coverage.

I’m a Canadian national born abroad so can’t currently pass on my citizenship but my husband (although primarily raised in the US) was born in Canada, so our kids will be Canadian regardless
