Sounds like theory of attraction to me. Keeping a positive mindset makes it easier to notice positive things when they occur.

I think it's the lack of immersion due to being in a fantasy world but still having to listen to Chuck from New Jersey on voice-chat. Obviously that doesn't exist in WoW because voice just isn't required for a lot of it.
