I guess the danger for USA is the same as what happened to UK after the idiocy of Brexit; the rest of Europe adapted and moved on. UK economy still struggling and politicians of major parties afraid to admit it.

The scraping of copywritten work is a huge ethical issue. A bigger, moral issue is the massive consumption of natural resources to power AI farms.
