I have wondered why farmers, who have taken it in the neck from President Trump's policies in 2 administrations now continue to vote and support him. This begins to explain it for me. www.youtube.com/watch?v=badG...

Hard to understand why the Browns are sticking with Joe Flacco today. He looks terrible. If you are going to throw checkdowns every time, let a rookie do that.

I wanted to like Hostages on Netflix, but each episode grew more and more absurd. That said, I watched the whole thing.

Have been watching T. Sheridan’s 1923. And can’t get over how none of the cattle or sheep ranchers use dogs. As the owner of a cattle dog, you notice these things. #1923

I am not a cop, but I believe it is a harder job than the president gives them credit for. Does he believe that National Guard is adept at reading suspects their rights, securing chain of custody for evidence, filling out accurate arrest reports. That they will show up to court in 6 mos. to testify?

Baltimore City Parks and Rec department - - City Hall does not believe you can do the job. . . Why create a non-profit to do what properly is their job? Is there any reason to think city employees can not do the job of consultants cheaper and more transparently? www.baltimoresun.com/2025/08/13/t...

Maryland is struggling to land clean energy batteries
Ultility-size clean energy storage batteries could save Maryland ratepayers big money, but projects have stalled partly because the region’s grid operator has been overwhelmed with project requests.

When the Ag Secretary recently suggested that our farm work can simply be done by unemployed Medicaid "takers". It was dumb and tin-eared. This is the best response I have come across about the realities of farm labor. She gets it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyVI...

Perhaps an unpopular take, but this does not sound unreasonable.
Australia wants to remove more than a million young teens from social media, under a groundbreaking law that sets a minimum age of 16 to use the platforms. But with fewer than six months before the new regulation goes into effect, much about its implementation remains unclear or undecided.

A law that restricts social media use to people 16 and over goes into effect in December, but much about it remains unclear or undecided.

Watching and enjoying Andor on Hulu, but seriously how many commercial breaks do they have. It feels like we have come full circle from free over the air TV to paying for streaming, and getting even more commercials.

I do not understand the distinction America often makes that there is a difference between putting “boots on the ground” and firing missles into, driving drones over, and bombing from thousands of feet another country. One seems a red line the other a permissible use of American Strength.

In January President Trump fired 17 Inspector Generals. To date no replacements have been appointed, or even nominated. One would think they would be a help with all that waste, fraud, and abuse.

Programs like this annoy. They continue to undermine the teaching profession by implying that teaching is easy, anyone can do it, there is little value in getting a degree in education. Offer them fast tracks to be firemen, police, park rangers, social workers. www.baltimoresun.com/2025/05/28/m...
