Makes this honestly just more fucking embarrassing that his ideas of justice are so parochial that the concept of treating 330 million people as a monolith due to the actions of literally 1/5th of them is kosher.

What he’s doing, and many enthusiastic Europeans, is telling us that our protest, and our struggle, is irrelevant. That people deserve this. And it’s bullshit.

To be clear Australia IS better. But this line of arguments, that we have some inherent sin (and if there is one, it’s being former British colonies) is absolutely bonkers given the histories of, say, every fucking country on earth

It’s not necessary for him to to fucking victim blame 200 million people while fascists are shooting us in the streets, especially coming from a country which, honestly, is not much better, just smaller.
