Yeah I think the board approval thing is more of a formality than anything and I’m really excited about the guest lectures! I know not everyone likes daytime meetings but it works really well for me with the kids in school. They’ve been around for a LONG time so I get the holdover stuff ☺️

My impression is that it’s more of a formality? They do ask you a lot of questions on the application, but I don’t know how strict they are. Also, meetings are open to the public so I bet you could go and maybe ask around to see if someone would come do a lesson!

I decided to join the weaving guild and the vibe is SO different than the modern quilt guild lol. The quilt guild was basically like “Hey do you like quilts? Great!” and the weaving guild was like “Don’t worry, we stopped requiring a sponsor and a weaving sample, you just need board approval!”

I think I did okay! I didn’t have instant yeast so o just used a bit more regular and did longer rises (Reddit said it was fine lol) and it tastes pretty good!
