Welcome. There aren't a lot of good 3s out there. And none of them are available. Can you imagine trying to defend Turner, MPJ, AJG and Rollins? The theory of your team hasn't changed but you are + size at 4 positions, instead

It will take an agent favor, if you don't want a sunken value guy. I've come around on him (MPJ). He might be a douchebag, but he's going to do Kuzma things AND make shots. Nets will want more. But, again, agent favor 🤷. And keep him (GA) out of NYK.

I think the issue comes down to what @mebartl8.bsky.social has been saying. The salary slots they have put you at a decent 3 but their pick capital is in the range of a really good 3. Trying to square that and not overpay will be tough. Lavine or derozan? Absolutely not. Murphy? Not enough assets.

They can thank their in-state friends Florida and Florida St for making both of those wins absolutely meaningless. All logic aside, I'm loving all of it.

Yea. No matter how this season ends, you still don't have a small forward. Use the pick. Get a player you always planned on. You can't tank for 6 years anyway

Luckily they only have 1. I'm not opposed to it. One player really can have a massive impact on these rosters. I know it feels bleak but *still* everything this season was about is still on the table. A panic trade would scary, but I'd still put the pick in play. You can retrade everyone again later

I don't disagree. I just don't think firing him to promote Darvin Ham was worth it for a couple extra games for this group, specifically. There's not a natural, forward thinking replacement. Like Charles Lee isn't there. The instability outweighed potential benefit for a team not worth that shake up

... Well until last night it was slightly. What coach is winning 2 rounds with this roster? I've been optimistic but even I never considered that possible. But it's getting less and less likely they win 1. I don't think that kind of turbulence warranted real conversation until today.

...Today was the first day it was real. Imo. That you have to really wonder if 45 is possible anymore. I'm not surprised it didn't happen. Because he's not underperforming by 10 games. He's underperforming by 4. For now. Did you (they) want to introduce more chaos for slightly underachieving? ...

I would like them to have their next coach hired before they fire him. It's such a last resort. The most destabilizing thing you can do. Even when they were losing, I'm sure they were thinking/hoping GA and KPJ would get them back "on track". They know this isn't a champ roster, anyway. ...

I think you can steal a Euro coach right now, too. If they aren't at one of the clubs pegged for the NBA Euro league. I think fans will probably reject that league but it's where all the money will flow for a few years. Grab a real NBA paycheck right now.

A lot of people like Wisconsin's own Dave Bliss, but that's a summer hire too. I don't think this is a first time head coach situation. Unless its a sure thing. Another reason this is shit situation.
