i feel like we hate on cliches too much, and use the word cliche as an insult or a con in terms of writing but things are only cliche because they're good, they've only become cliches because people love them so much, i don't mind cliches if they're done well enough honestly

i dunno if i find it weird or fascinating how the only people able to consistently match my freak rn are progressive russian academics most of whom have been dead for like a decade
