It’s definitely makes me personally more invested. As you point out, it feels like MY character and their adventure. Even if it doesn’t have the narrative choices of say a Mass Effect, just seeing the character I “created” in scenes pulls me in more. But maybe that’s me

Sounds like a decent rotation you have there. There’s a few games I’ve been meaning to get back to that I really should finish. I just have the hardest time going back to games I stepped away from cause I hate trying to catch back up and relearn what I was doing and how to do it

I don’t exactly have a preferred genre. Horror isn’t my thing. Puzzle games less so. Otherwise I tend to be pretty open to whatever looks interesting
