The main difference between conservatives and liberals is that conservatives are swayed almost purely by pathos. Liberals are swayed by pathos and ethos. Barely anybody requires logos to be convinced.

One of my favorite episodes of the 90's justice league cartoon is when Wonder Woman is like "men aren't that great" and Hawkgirl (to paraphrase) is like "Well you haven't gotten good dick"

My lifelong distrust of authority came from an argument with a teacher in 2nd grade where I was asserting that Jupiter had rings (it has like 2-3 compared the dozens or hundreds other planets have, which is why they're not visible). She refused to believe me and now I listen to death metal.

A thing that sticks w/ me is on FB a dutchman disagreed w/ me so I told them that their opinion didn't matter bc the dutch invented capitalism and is the home of the worst EDM iin the world. They were not mad but impressed I knew the history of the dutch. So burns are more useful than compliments.
