Congratulations to @matthewpennycookmp.bsky.social for getting the Renters’ Rights Bill over the line to end s.21. A Bill to do this was first proposed in 2017 and all previous attempts failed. So it’s a significant political achievement as well as an important social reform

👀 ICYMI yesterday @thetimes.com had a feature setting out that the only way to bring down the housing benefits bill is to build more social & affordable housing.

It included CIH's analysis of right to buy, & our research that 88% of gov money spent on housing goes towards housing benefit payments ⬇️
