In other news: I just submitted a decently major annual report to my management that’s the equivalent of the corporate world‘s annual review. I’m confident in what I wrote, but it is still a little bit nerve-racking.

We’ve reached the time on campus where the dining options have reduced to a shop selling premade sandwiches and salads and a Starbucks. Note to self: bring lunch for the rest of the week.

Sitting here and suspecting that I have a lot more holiday prep to do for the date I’m at. The Hanukkah and Christmas presents don’t get automatically bought with the act of my writing them down. The Christmas tree and menorah don’t get set up if they’re still in the attic. 🫠

A coffee incident with my work laptop meant that I handed my old work laptop in and received a new one in return on Friday, then discovered this morning (Mon) that I’d forgotten to take my wireless mouse transponder from the old laptop. Contacted IT and they still had it. One okay thing, at least.

I’ve been totally demoralized by my probable failure of my MBA prequalification class’s final exam. Of COURSE it’s the perfect time to continue working on my first year tenure review report! 🫠

My KitchenAid stand mixer died a burning engine death last night right at the beginning of my kneading a batch of babka dough. By some miracle, found a person willing to lend me their stand mixer today. First batch of babka dough now successfully made and in the fridge, thank fricking everything.

I adulted this evening, parenting edition: finalized and submitted the Teen’s FAFSA thingy so maybe we’ll get some financial aid for college.
(Also: how is my first baby old enough to be going to college in about 9 months??)
