Retired school social worker, no DMs please.
I live in a tiny town and at our little Renee Good protest last week a lady came up to us with handfuls of hand warmers. For every person on the street there’s dozens at home or work wishing they could help. Giving cocoa or pizza or whatever is not even a little bit surprising.

Another friend put it to me like this: "ICE has made the classic Nazi mistake. They've invaded a winter people in the winter."

Today at a small demonstration for Renee Good in a snow squall in Small Town Michigan, a woman ran up with an armful of handwarmers and said she had a child in the car and couldn't join us but wanted to do something.

I don't know why they backed down but glad they did. They caused immediate panic in the recovery community with this unbelievably bad choice.

Schools are slow to assign 1:1 aides. Students who have them, need them.

Bruising is considered a form of "internal bleeding" so if that's what we're talking about then sure, I walk around with bruises all the time!

Or they could take a page from Trump's book and say "more training" as code for abolishing ICE.

Please, don't do this. I thought it was real.

Woman on the street here reporting that the country feels significantly less safe and full of people willing to make the mundane personal and political.

Term limits ensure that people who run are from a group of people who aren't seeking and don't need job stability. It rules out a lot of solid candidates.
