It's a very reveal-heavy streak, and because it wasn't balanced right the first time, the issues compounded from one chapter to the next. Luckily my editor and I were able to hammer it out.

its like if you hired someone to fix a dangerous hole in the ground and the person hired to fill it in spent their entire time staring at the hole and then being like "this is a real dangerous situation, big hole here, somebody could fall in, someone should do something about this. Are you aware.."

Not an app but TheUkuleleTeacher on YouTube has all the lessons you might need, for free! I learned a good chunk of my songs from him.

Also yay for new ukulele, you're gonna have so much fun with it :3

I met with my editor tonight, and we got talking over a writing analogy they used, which somehow led to my offhand mention that I had a lost song I wished I could hear again. I gave them the meager description I always give: a requiem, two soloists, have mercy, and sparrows.

Over the years I'd have bursts of frantic energy trying to find it. Lately I've been starting to accept that I would never hear it again.

I posted on various social medias, and later discord servers, in hopes that anyone might recognize it. All I had to describe it was: a slow orchestral build, later movements including 2 soloists and the lyrics "have mercy, have mercy" and something about sparrows.

I started searching online, listening to what felt like dozens of different requiems by different composers. Literally went down the Wikipedia list one by one, no dice.

2018, Dad died. I couldn't stop thinking about the requiem. After we cleared the CDs out of his truck I went through them all to find it without luck. I searched our whole CD collection and found only Mozart and Fauré, neither of which sounded right.

Flash forward to 2017ish. Dad got a new truck and his CDs moved into it with him. I set up my own CDs in the borrowed car and forgot about the requiem for a while.

He was a classical music guy. I became enamored with one album in particular and listened to it almost every day for a while. Older car meant I couldn't see any disc info without ejecting the CD, so all I knew was that it was some kind of requiem.

Backstory: in 2016 I was working swings at a very rural location, borrowing my dad's car at the time which came with his own selection of albums.

I never know if I should thread stuff like this but I'll give it a shot this time. I also listed this adorable little maple lidded box/jar. Its a really fun form factor I want to replicate in the future with what I learned.
